Always try to encourage others, particularly those people who are quite and lack confidence, and always give genuine praise and recognition when it's due. A few well chosen words can do wonders for confidence and self esteem and make people feel they are making a worthwhile contribution,

One common mistake that many bosses make is spending too much time trying to catch people doing things wrong and then reprimanding or punishing them. This is usually bosses who aren't good at managing and empowering people or delegating. One of the best things than any boss can do is to actively try to catch people doing things right and then give credit or offer encouragement for a job well done.
