Self Improvement Tip of the Day: It Takes Effort But Is Well Worth It

Self Improvement Tip of the Day: Leadership Takes Effort But Is Well Worth It

Good judgement is an essential leadership skill. Leaders constantly face challenges and problems. They need to be able to assess the pros and cons of any situation and use their judgement to make important decisions. Your team will come to rely on your judgement and this will be an important factor in how effective you are as a leader.

Leadership is not easy and has to be worked at. It takes time and effort but the rewards that come from helping and serving others can be great. You can learn a great deal by studying the methods of people you work with and respect, or by reading about people you admire. Is there someone local that inspires you? Approach them and ask for advice. If they are a good leader they'll almost certainly be happy to help. True leadership is about helping and encouraging other people to develop, and this is one of the very best ways to help your own personal development and growth.

Self Improvement Quote of the Day:

'Leadership is not magnetic personality—that can just as well be a glib tongue. It is not "making friends and influencing people"—that is flattery. Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.' – Peter Drucker
